Our Cavoodles Puppies
We have 2 lovely King Charles Cavalier females (Poppy and Piper) and a gorgeous male Toy Poodle (Basil) with each female only having 1 litter per year.
Our dogs and puppies are brought up in a loving family environment resulting in our puppies being socially adjusted, happy and healthy. Before going to their new families all of our puppies will be weaned onto Premium Hills Science Diet puppy small bites and will be microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and vet checked. Our puppies parents have been DNA tested and cleared by Orivet Genetic Pet Care to screen for genetic health issues. These test results are provided in your puppy care pack.
The Cavoodle is a hybrid between a King Charles Cavalier and a Poodle (in our case, a Toy Poodle).
The Cavalier is one of Australia’s most popular purebred dogs due to their adorable, gentle, laid back and companionable nature. The poodle is intelligent and loyal but can have neurotic tendencies which are diminished with the Cavaliers laid back temperament.
The Cavoodle brings the best of both Cavalier and Poodle breeds to produce an intelligent, compact and healthy little animal with a loving temperament. In terms of their health and lifespan, the Cavoodle as a hybrid benefits from a more diverse genetic makeup than the purebreds and are often not susceptible to conditions which may affect the parent breeds. Responsible breeders such as ourselves have screened the parents to eliminate any known genetic problems. Owners of a healthy cavoodle can expect them to live with their family for 10-14 years.
Why Choose a Cavoodle Puppy?
Colours of Cavoodles
Cavoodle Puppies can come in many colours but our puppies are ruby/red with occasional white markings on their chest or feet (white sox).
Gowan Brae Cavoodles are first generation, meaning they are a cross between a pure bred Poodle and a pure bred King Charles Cavalier. This ensures a consistency of the puppies usually displaying a fairly even mix of the 2 breeds, all with consistent, wavy, non shedding hair and the health benefits/hybrid vigour of crossing 2 different breeds with different genetics.
